Homeschooling a Toddler or Preschooler?
Not every child goes to preschool or even kindergarten. Preschool can be expensive, and not all families can afford it. Some families feel their children aren't ready for school, or are too young to go out into the world. Some children go to preschool for fun, but their parents also want to provide an educational home. Some families intend to homeschool. No matter why you are looking for home preschool ideas, this site will show you what to do so your child is ready for school in the future, whether at home or in a traditional school.

I'm Terrie and this website is a companion to my second book, due out January 2008. The book is called Home a Little Longer: Preschool and Kindergarten at Home. This site helps parents of children kindergarten-age and younger teach their children at home. When you "graduate" from this site, I have a homeschooling website that enhances my first book (see the left hand column of this page). Treasured Time for Homeschooling will help you educate your older children.
Use the navigation to the left to find your way around, and the right side to find related content and supplies you may want to buy for your homeschool. Buying anything from Amazon after clicking through one of my Amazon ads helps to pay the hosting costs for the site.
The lovely lady to the right is the Princess Ashilyn Michelle, the site mascot, and her little fire fly friend, Sparky. In the future, she and Sparky will have her own section of the site, just for little girls. She's the work of my dear and talented writer/artist friend, Michelle Anne Cope. Watch for her in the blue boxes at the end of articles for quick tips to help you teach. The princess is named after my goddaughter Ashilyn and the artist. Sparky refuses to be named after anyone--he is an original.
Don't forget to join the discussion group to meet other moms of preschoolers!
