Lesson Plans
This section contains lesson plans for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartners, although you may find things your entire family can do together. They are largely thematic units, meaning that you use a theme to teach a variety of skills. They aren't organized into daily lessons, but are a collection of theme related ideas, to suit both structured and unstructured families.
Kites This is a fun springtime unit, with lots of connections to science and history.
Noah's Ark Theme This is a fun way to teach children about animals, with a little religion for good measure.
Zoo theme: A special focus on endangered animals.
Animal Counting Lesson Plan: The perfect compliment to your Noah's Ark or zoo theme.
USA Fourth of July Preschool and toddler ideas and book suggestions for teaching patriotism and an introduction to our nation.
Cake: This is part of a growing list of resources for a birthday party theme.

Princess Ashilyn Michelle suggests not starting out with a full three hour lesson plan. Your little prince or princess isn't used to school yet. If you want to do everything in the plan, spread it out through the day--have a story after breakfast, a craft after play time. By the end of the day, you'll have it all done without the stress of keeping your little one focused for too long. If he gets bored, stop. He will learn to work longer as he gets older and more experienced.
